How we help
Our Integration Advisors provide one-to-one support and advice on all aspects of settling into a new environment with the aim of giving people the best possible start to life in Dundee.
We provide practical support to help people find their way around the city, making sure people feel safe and familiar with the area; helping people find suitable accommodation, work, education and health services. After this initial phase, we continue to work with people to develop a plan for achieving their longer-term hopes and ambitions.
We are also supporting people arriving from Ukraine drawing on our knowledge and experience of supporting Syrian families who have successfully settled in Dundee.
A number of our advisors and volunteers speak Ukrainian as well as Arabic.
We have a close working relationship with Dundee City Council Humanitarian team, the Humanitarian support team working in hotels, the Scottish Government team working with local hosts, the Housing department and Employment Services.
Throughout the city, we also have extensive social, educational and cultural links and maintain regular contact with those we support through one-to-one meetings, information sessions and social media groups.
We also offer support to resettled families with their settlement and citizenship applications and processes.

Mohammed's story
"I arrived in Scotland with nothing but my family who mean the world to me. Right now I am doing my best to open a Syrian takeaway restaurant in Dundee."
