Vote for our film in the Smiley Charity Film Awards!
We worked with filmmaker Bircan Birol, and the Scottish Government, to create a series of films documenting the experiences of people who have come to Scotland after fleeing the war against Ukraine.
The short films include interviews with Ukrainians who have settled in Scotland, Scottish hosts who have welcomed guests from Ukraine, and employers providing job and resettlement opportunities for New Scots.
Since war broke out in Ukraine, Scotland has welcomed more than 25,000 people fleeing the conflict. Ukrainians in Scotland provides an honest reflection of the experiences of a diverse selection of people over the last 18 months.
We hope the films will be useful to Ukrainians in Scotland and will help raise awareness about host accommodation available in more rural parts of the country.
The awards ceremony will take place on 20th March. There’s still time to vote for us!
