Helen Russell

Helen Russell is Head of Services at Shelter Scotland, responsible for ensuring operational delivery across Shelter Scotland’s Housing Law Service, Telephone and Online Advice Service, as well as measuring impact and outcomes. Helen has experience working with national homelessness organisations such as Shelter and Crisis, as well as smaller organisations like Glasgow City Mission. Having worked with forcibly displaced people in both Glasgow and Beirut, Lebanon, she brings valuable insights into the issues affecting asylum seekers and refugees. Helen also has a strong understanding of the impact that frontline work can have on staff teams and has a particular interest in ensuring staff wellbeing.
