Part of the Bigger Picture called for people across Scotland to stand in solidarity with refugees and people seeking asylum. And you did!
As the campaign wraps up, we wanted to say a MASSIVE heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped show that Scotland is a place of welcome. Whether you wore the merch, shared the message, or took part in events, you’ve made it clear: refugees are valued and welcomed here.
Our Part of the Bigger Picture merchandise travelled not only across Scotland, but as far as Australia, Japan and North America!
We were delighted to team up with famous faces, including actor Alan Cumming, First Minister John Swinney, comedians Frankie Boyle and Fern Brady, tv presenter Jean Johansson, and musicians from Mogwai, Dead Pony and She Drew The Gun.
Thanks also to the brilliant bars and restaurants that took part in the campaign, including Five March, The Admiral Woods, Stereo, Machair, Inn Deep and many more – who added optional donations to food bills and hosted events like quizzes and open mic nights.
Together, you’ve helped raise £19,102 to support our work with people rebuilding their lives in Scotland
At a time when people seeking safety are often met with hostility and misunderstanding, your support has been a powerful reminder of the compassion that exists in communities across the country.
Part of the Bigger Picture was more than a campaign – it was a statement of solidarity.
