Would you like to be part of the Refugee Festival Scotland programme?

Calling all community groups, artists and performers – event submissions are now open for Refugee Festival Scotland 2023!

The festival will run from 16-25 June and this year the theme is hope. We invite you to join this shared celebration and explore what hope looks and feels like.

The deadline for event submissions is Monday, 1 May.

A time for hope

What makes you hopeful for the future? What do you look forward to? What are your dreams for yourself, your family, your community?

At a time when people seeking safety are facing hostility and fear, Refugee Festival Scotland shines a bright and hopeful light on the cultural richness and diversity at the heart of our communities.

We’re looking for events that bring people from different backgrounds together and inspire hope through music, dance, film, theatre, visual art, poetry… and food, of course!

Join us to be part of this year’s festival and share your hopes for a better future.

A festival for everyone

Anyone can take part in Refugee Festival Scotland. If you’ve got an idea for an event or activity that showcases refugee arts and culture, or brings people from different backgrounds together, we’d love to hear from you.

Your event can take any form – an exhibition, puppet show, poetry reading, sing-a-long or family friendly picnic – so long as it’s open to the public. This is a festival for everyone.
