Accessing Homelessness Support

The homelessness process is complicated. There are many different laws that affect people’s rights and entitlements. The process and the words used can be overwhelming and difficult to understand. People’s journeys can be very different and their personal circumstances will have an impact on what housing solutions are available to them.

At Scottish Refugee Council, we are here to help you to understand the housing process and to make informed decisions.

After you phoned the council and made your homeless application, the council will arrange an interview for you with a homeless caseworker.  This is called the Prospects Interview.

The My Housing system (GHA online bidding system) has been suspended.

You might still receive your reference number, to help you register online. You can register and we advise you to do so but you will not be able to make a note of interest on any properties.
