Applications are now open for our New Scots Leadership Programme, run in partnership with Social Enterprise Academy!
The 6-month course is designed for refugee community leaders living in Scotland who are actively involved in empowering their communities. From November 2025 to April 2026, 16 participants will take part in two full‑day sessions each month, led by an experienced trainer.
The deadline to apply is Monday 3rd November at 12pm.
Successful applicants will build confidence and enhance their leadership skills so they can better represent and empower refugee communities. Through practical workshops and peer learning, they will gain tools for overcoming challenges, improving communication, and strengthening impact.
Feedback from some of last year’s graduates:
“I was so happy that I had the opportunity to do this … now I have the tools and information to develop, improve my decision making and do more of what needs doing.” Catherine
“We have many skills which are hidden and that we don’t really discover until someone gives you the tools to unlock them. This training helped us do that.” Berthin
“This programme has really opened up my confidence … For anyone thinking of applying for the programme I would say it’s a great opportunity to take up. You will find out a lot about yourself, your community, other communities, the Scottish third sector. You will find your reason.” Anna
