Adelaide Place Baptist Church is a friendly and welcoming church. As well as our Sunday services, we offer many activities and support for the local community and for New Scots (people who have recently moved to Scotland).
Every Tuesday from 10.30am to 1.30pm, we run a Community Café. It is free to attend and offers hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, and vouchers for hot meals.
We work with ESOL Scotland to offer free English classes (ESOL = English for Speakers of Other Languages). These classes take place in our building twice a week – on Tuesday during the café and again on Thursday morning.
Together with Glasgow City Mission and ESOL Scotland, we also run a clothes bank once a month. This is for people who are referred to us and need clothes or other essentials.
We are part of the Welcome Churches network, which supports people who are new to Glasgow, including refugees and people seeking asylum. Our team helps by offering a warm welcome, donating small furniture or household items, and connecting people with useful organisations.
