Adelaide Place Baptist Church is a friendly and welcoming church.
As well as our Sunday services at 11am, we offer activities and support for the local community and for New Scots (people who have recently moved to Scotland).
Every Tuesday from 10.30am to 1.30pm, we run a Community Café. It is free to attend and offers hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, and vouchers for hot meals. To access our services, it is always recommended to come to the Cafe first and meet with someone (please note: the cafe is closed during the summer). Our Sunday services continue throughout the year.
We work with ESOL Scotland to offer free English classes during term time (ESOL = English for Speakers of Other Languages) to those staying in the local area. Please visit esolscotland.co.uk to register your interest or to find other classes closer to your area.
Together with Glasgow City Mission and ESOL Scotland, we also run a clothes bank once a month. This is for people who are referred to us and need clothes or other essentials.
We are part of the Welcome Churches network, which supports people who are new to Glasgow, including refugees and people seeking asylum. Our team helps by offering a warm welcome, donating small furniture or household items, and connecting people with useful organisations.
Please note: unfortunately, we cannot offer financial support. Additionally, our services are best placed to support those in the City Centre and Garnethill/Anderston area (as we are unable to provide transport help to our venue).
If you are staying nearby, we look forward to meeting you!
