Asylum and Refugee Care (AARC) makes sure that New Scots arriving in the Northeast feel welcome and supported. We provide essential items like clothing, footwear, and digital connectivity upon arrival.
We help individuals enrol in English classes, connect with local churches and mosques, and access volunteering opportunities to gain skills and make friends.
Our services include screening for survivors of trafficking, referrals to Trafficking Scotland, and support with British Red Cross Family Tracing Service to reunite families.
We prepare individuals for employment by assisting with bank accounts, training, and skill development. We also offer casework and advocacy to address individual needs.
Our services are provided by appointment only and in the following languages: Amharic, Arabic, English, Farsi, Kurdish (Kurmanji), Kurdish (Sorani), Tigrinya, and Pashto.
Please get in touch with us to make an appointment.
