Collective advocacy occurs when people with similar experiences come together to raise issues and work towards change. These groups provide a safe space to discuss shared mental health concerns, campaign, and influence the decisions and agendas that shape our lives.
CAPS Independent Advocacy is a charity operating East Lothian and Midlothian. Our advocacy groups are open to those with lived experience of mental health issues, including refugees and people within the asylum system. Details of all our collective advocacy groups can be found on our website, including groups for ethnic minority communities, LGBTQI+ individuals, and those with experiences of trauma.
