Fife International Forum is an experienced, community-focused organisation supporting migrant communities, including refugees and asylum seekers, in the Fife region. We address issues such as poverty, social mobility, and employment challenges.
Our services include:
- Tackling Child Poverty Project: This programme helps unemployed parents return to work through skills development workshops. It also supports working parents who need assistance to stay employed or find new jobs.
- Pre-Academy Programme: A 6-week employability course with workshops focusing on confidence, resilience, and skills. After this, participants can take part in work placements suited to their abilities.
- Housing Support: We offer a variety of housing services for migrants and refugees facing difficulties accessing housing due to language barriers.
- Welfare Support: Our Building Bridges and Improving Lives project provides essential support for welfare challenges. We assist with health issues, immigration, housing, family commitments, financial aid, language, and education/employment.
- New Scots Community Café: This project fosters cultural exchange and understanding through events and activities. It allows New Scots to connect with local residents, promoting a sense of belonging. Everyone is welcome to join the community café.
