The West of Scotland Development Education Centre (WOSDEC) is a dedicated team of Global Citizenship Education Advisors. Our mission is to empower teachers to inspire young people to become active global citizens, committed to building a just and sustainable future, both locally and globally.
Based in Glasgow, we support educators across the West of Scotland in developing their expertise in Global Citizenship and Rights-based Learning. As qualified teachers with extensive experience in Scottish education, we have spent the past four years working with the Refugee Survival Trust and Refuweegee to deliver training on integrating migration issues into the curriculum.
Additionally, we have collaborated with Dundee University and the One World Centre in Dundee to train educators in trauma-informed practices for supporting learners and families from conflict zones.
