West of Scotland Regional Equality Council (WSREC) develops and delivers community-led responses and services that challenge discrimination, uphold rights, and remove barriers – helping to build a fairer, more just society. Based in the West of Scotland, we work with individuals from minority ethnic backgrounds, including refugees and asylum seekers.
Based in Glasgow, we provide a range of services to diverse minority ethnic groups, across the West of Scotland, including:
Equality and Human Rights
We support adults affected by discrimination or crime through workshops, training, and one-to-one sessions. Our aim is to empower individuals to understand and assert their rights.
Health and Wellbeing
We promote mental health and wellbeing through support on self-care, resilience, and positive thinking – helping people lead healthier, happier lives.
Employability and Training
We offer tailored one-to-one support and capacity-building workshops to help minority ethnic individuals – including refugees and asylum seekers – gain skills, confidence, and access to employment opportunities.
Advice and Information
We provide free, accessible advice on issues such as the EU Settlement Scheme, welfare rights, debt, housing, and energy – ensuring people have the information they need to make informed decisions.
We believe in inclusion, empowerment, and community-driven change.
