Supporting Communities Fund: Covid19 Response
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected the lives of everyone in Scotland and has resulted in major changes to society and the economy. This has created additional challenges for the most vulnerable in our communities over and above the impact on the general population.
Scottish Refugee Council is delighted to announce that we have secured funding from the Supporting Communities Fund to tackle these challenges.
This new funding is designed to build upon the huge contribution community groups have already made in responding to the COVID19 pandemic.
Through an application process, we will distribute small grants between £1000 – £2500 to refugee-led and refugee supporting community groups, so they are able to adapt or increase existing services and resources in support of their community during this period.
Working with Queen Margaret’s University we have identified the criteria for this funding, and invite community groups who meet the criteria of providing activities and community support in the following areas to apply:
- Isolation and loneliness
- Technical/technology poverty
- Deteriorating mental/physical health
- Food poverty

If you want to apply for a grant between £1000 and £2500 to address the community needs mentioned, please complete and send your application by 11:59pm on Sunday 23th August 2020.
We strongly advise that you read the SCF Covid19 Response Fund – Application Guidelines before completing the application form.
