Debbie Shields

Debbie is Director of executive search firm Aspen People and works with organisations in the Third Sector across the country to secure the best leadership talent possible at executive and non – executive level.

She has been involved in the recruitment space in one way or another for longer than she cares to remember, supporting people of all backgrounds into work and this has developed along the way to working with senior leaders through Aspen in the not-for-profit space.

Debbie has been involved in many Third Sector organisations at Board level. She is currently Chair at SAY Women which works with young women who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and has been a Board Trustee in various organisations over the years.

Debbie brings a unique blend of commercial and third sector knowledge, experience and passion to the Scottish Refugee Council Board.
