Our Deputy Chief Executive, Kirsty Nairn, plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic and operational leadership of Scottish Refugee Council to ensure the effective delivery of our mission. As Director of External Affairs, she is also focused on driving improvement, enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring high standards of governance and compliance.

Before joining Scottish Refugee Council, Kirsty worked for a non-departmental public body that distributes lottery funds to good causes. She has two decades of experience in budget and risk management, business planning, data and reporting, grant making, and project delivery. Kirsty is committed to putting people and communities at the heart of our work and including the voice of lived experience in everything we do.
