Mike Donnelly
Chair of Scottish Refugee Council
Mike is a retired academic who has acted as an expert and special adviser to senior politicians in the UK. He is an Honorary Professor of Management at Heriot-Watt University and Queen Margaret University in Scotland, as well as at the Victorian Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. Over his 35-year academic career, Mike was Head of School and Founding Dean of Faculty at UK and Australian business schools.
Mike has designed and delivered university programmes, executive seminars, and post-experience courses internationally, as well as development programmes for public, voluntary, and trade unions in the UK.
His research interests include managing service quality, particularly in public services. He has served as a Non-Executive Director for several charities and currently serves as a Trustee for the Separated Child Foundation.
