Take action with us on World Refugee Day in solidarity with people seeking safety around the world.
This World Refugee Day, (Friday, 20 June) we want to show people fleeing war and persecution that they are welcome here in Scotland – and we need your help.
Please join us by sharing a message of friendship and support on social media. It’s really easy to take part.
Step 1
Download one of our World Refugee Day banners. There are two designs to choose from. You can find them here.
Step 2
On Friday 20 June, post it on social media with a message of welcome and the hashtag #AyeWelcomeRefugees
You can write your own message, or use the wording below:
This World Refugee Day I’m standing in solidarity with people seeking safety here in Scotland and around the world. Today and every day #AyeWelcomeRefugees.
Why take part?
In these uncertain times, uniting against racism and calling out hostile UK government policies that punish rather than protect people seeking safety, is more important than ever.
Together, we can show the world that Scotland welcomes refugees.
