We are delighted to share our new online guide ‘Information for new refugees’. This guide is designed to help new refugees in Scotland understand what to do after getting refugee status (‘Leave to Remain’). 

Getting refugee status is an important step in people starting to rebuild their lives and gives them new rights. However, refugee status also comes with changes that people need to prepare for.

Our new guide is available in 21 languages and gives information on topics including:  

In addition to our freephone helpline and support service for new refugees, we hope this guide will be a valuable resource for newly-granted refugees as well as for individuals, groups, and organisations supporting people seeking safety in Scotland.
