The MS Ambition, which is currently providing a temporary home to more than 1000 people from Ukraine, is to close at the end of March.

Our bilingual advice team has been running weekly information sessions on board the ship and in other short term ‘welcome accommodation’ for the past few months. We will increase the number of these sessions in response to this news to make sure people are provided with clear, independent advice and information about their rights and housing options. Our advice sessions have been very busy recently, with people keen to understand and plan their next steps during their time in Scotland.

We are also working with Glasgow City Council, the Scottish Government and other partners to increase housing options available to people, including supporting individuals considering hosting people in their homes.
