Amina – the Muslim Women’s Resource Centre is Scotland’s leading organisation for the rights of Muslim, Black, and Minority Ethnic (BME) women. We aspire to create a world where Muslim and BME women can achieve their full potential.
In the UK, Muslim and BME women face significant disadvantages, with some of the poorest access to local services and the highest levels of unemployment. They often experience discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, and religion.
To address these challenges, we provide a range of free services, including a national helpline, employability support, domestic abuse casework, financial advocacy, prevention of violence against women and girls, inclusive training, and weekly creative wellbeing sessions and events.
Our main office is located in Pollokshields, Glasgow, and we also offer a weekly service in Dundee. For more information, please visit our website or contact our helpline, available Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
