The social support hub is a peer-led social group for those who are currently working with a solicitor and in the process of applying, or have applied, for the Family Reunion visa. The hub offers a space for those who are either facing challenges in coping with separation from family/partner, or experiencing loneliness, have a limited social support network, or are struggling with the stressors of the Family Reunion application process.
The hub runs every Tuesday 4.30-6.30pm and provides a relaxed, safe space for peer support, social activities, information sessions, as well as access to psycho-social support sessions. Additional 1:1 psycho-social support sessions can be provided to support with coping strategies, mental health support in times of difficulty, and sponsor’s wellbeing prior to family/partner’s arrival. All sessions are free, and refreshments and bus tokens are provided.
