A Moment’s Peace Theatre (AMP) works with community groups to deliver high quality artistic projects exploring marginalised narratives and experiences, with a core focus on migration. In 2019 AMP, in partnership with Küche, will be delivering ‘Shared Space’, a pilot project which looks to establish a new and accessible mixed art-form company that is specifically focused on engaging and making work with individuals affected by the UK immigration system. The space will look to invite in and develop work with those negotiating migration systems at all levels; exploring and expanding creative practice through artistic play and experimentation.
Initially meeting on a monthly basis, this pilot project, will see AMP and Küche host 10 sessions across 2019, where dedicated workshops will be delivered by a range of organisations and arts practitioners from Scotland’s arts sector, where food will be shared, where conversations about best practice will be facilitated, and where every third session will culminate with a public open-mic session/scratch event for participants and audiences, including professionals and amateurs, to showcase their work and ideas.
