Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for good weather as food and drinks events take place where the Dee and Don rivers meet the North Sea.

Yes in Aberdeen, the Grampian Regional Equality Council are hosting an International Connections Café at The University of Aberdeen on 1 July.  Join them for conversation, food, refreshments and an “open mic” for attendees to speak about their connections in the North East.  With activities for children and young people, families, kids and groups are welcome.

Further north, Deveron Arts are celebrating Refugee Festival Scotland with their ‘Huntly Meets Syria: Coffee Morning’, taking place on 1 July at the Huntly Hotel.  With a twist on the traditional Huntly model of conversation, tea and Aberdeenshire butteries, Deveron Arts will be working with the New Scots Syrian community in Aberdeenshire to cook and share some Middle Eastern treats and introduce some delicious new cuisine to the locals.
