Celebrating 15 years of refugee communities in Glasgow and 30 years of Scottish Refugee Council

It is now 15 years since the UK government began ‘dispersing’ people to Glasgow and other parts of the UK. The city of Glasgow has been greatly enriched by everyone who has come here over the last fifteen years seeking a safe place to live and raise their families.

Did you come to Glasgow 15 years ago?

Would you like to share your story of arriving and settling in Glasgow?

Would you be happy to talk to a journalist about your experience?

We are working with journalists in Scotland to tell positive stories of how the city has changed over the last 15 years. If you would like to take part, please contact Pauline or Rachel on 0141 223 7927 / media@scottishrefugeecouncil.org.uk

This year we are also celebrating 30 years of Scottish Refugee Council, which began in 1985. We are looking for people who came to Scotland at any point over the last 30 years who would like to share stories about their lives here. Please get in touch with Pauline or Rachel on the number above if interested.

Looking forward to hearing your stories.
